Born in Colon, Panama (in the former Canal Zone), the eldest of 6 siblings

My father is a retired Commander in the Navy, and my mother had to endure military life.  Mom died in May, and Dad lives in Solomons, MD

We lived in 12 different houses by the time I was 12 years old

Eagle Scout (thanks to my younger brother who almost beat me to it)

Volunteered for 7 years as a Ski Patroller with the National Ski Patrol

Graduated with a B.S. in Psychology and Biology (double major), from the University of Dayton

Joined the Order of Preachers (The Dominicans) in 1976 as a Novice, thanks in large part to Fr. Cornelius Hahn, O.P., still a wonderful friend and mentor

Currently hold Master degrees in Theology (M.A.), Divinity (M.Div.) and Social Work (M.S.W.)

Worked for about 15 years as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Social Worker

Worked for 7 years in our mission in Bolivia
